I love to design. It can be a dog collar, a website, a quilt, an infant collection, a vase, a t-shirt, a shower curtain, socks, a rug, a photo album....doesn't matter. I look at everything and think about how I would change, and hopefully improve, the design. Sometimes the change might be slight but to my eye it would make all the difference in the world. Other times it needs a major rehaul, back to the drawing board. I love to work with other people to see how they perceive things; their vision can enhance my own. I thrive on working with a design team; artists, designers, merchandisers, and the salespeople out there on the frontlines...and I like to art direct in order to develop more product, since I can never create as fast as I think, even with the phenomenal digital design tools I adore. Design has so many facets...the market need, the "signature" of a given company, how the customer is always evolving, and sometimes just how the wind is blowing on a given day. I love making it happen.
